FOCUS, Inc. was born out of those who see the need to replicate what has been started in their lives (the survivors) who were guided and led to their desired transformation; for and in behalf of the prostituted women who are desirous to transform and leave the flesh trade. The Program Manager and the Organizing group of survivors approached some responsive and responsible women leaders of the ecumenical churches to help put up an organization to carry out the program for the transformation of prostituted women and children. Women who are popularly referred to as street prostitute of Quezon City, being the target partner-clienteles are the raison d' etre of FOCUS, Inc. An endeavor that goes beyond the issue of talking about prostitution but instead providing refuge, a caring organization that works closely with the women emphatizing and responding to their needs and concerns as people deserving to be loved, liberated and seen as God's children. The founding day was February 14, 2007 which was the Feast Day of St. Valentine, the patron saint of love; and subsequently granted juridical personality by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippine Government on September 17, 2007, as a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization.
